Isreal Kochheiser: It was Shakespeares' main theatre
Romeo Tinnea: It was built so that the royalty were able to sit in the top and watch down and the poor people had to stand close to the stage. It was built like a globe, therefore, that makes it different from today's theatres. Know of any globe-shaped theatres? I think that the seats were like a semi-circle and then the other half of the circle was the stage/backstage and such. Hope I helped.
