Gordon Showes: Clever kid!
Krystal Cordovano: Hmm I don't know I guess I'll have to ask my kids as they walk on the beach while you are at your desk in school tomorrow! Yes I'm being sarcastic. Not all HS kids are weird, in fact very few are. I know many hs kids and most of them are completely "normal" kids who have extraordinary chances to learn in the real world. Unlike those who are stuck in a system that systematically denies every opportunity to have real world learning like the one you are in. Your question is like asking if public schooled kids like the sun. Of course you do and you would rather be outside in the sun than at your desk right. Difference is that while you are at your desk my kids are outside enjoying the sun and learning....Show more
Tillie Wynott: Home schooled kids are the same as normal kids. we love the same stuff ect . I just transfered back to public school ...What you can stand they can but probably better
Coleman Coscia: Yes! . I take my kids to a real lake beach several times every summer. They walk right out on the sand with no complaints (except sometimes the sand is burning hot so they have to move quickly). Then they walk in the water and play with the sand. There is a place where they make dams, rivers, and little lakes in the sand. They also make sand castles. Sometimes they bury each other in the sand. They think it to be great fun.We have a sandbox area in our yard too. I have seen the little boys playing in that a lot.I think that the reason that "weird" kid is homeschooled is that snobby kids tease and put down anyone who is a bit different than the group of kids they hang out with. This kid's parents knew better than to try to mold their kid to be just like you. They wanted their kid to be happy being himself. So if the kid can't see well, is he supposed to try do school without glasses? Or do you expect him to wear uncomfortable contacts?...Show more
An Trebil: Home ! schooled people and public schooled people aren't two differen! t species. There are not 'a lot of differences between home schooled kids and kids in public school'. The only difference between 'us' and 'you' is the way we learn. Like public schooled people, we have likes and dislikes, strengths and shortcomings, people we like and people we don't like. Most of the time, you can't even tell a home schooled person from a public schooled person just by looking at them, or even by talking to them. Please don't judge a whole group of people by your experiences with one individual. I've met 'weird and gross' public schooled people who have glasses and snort, but that doesn't mean all of them are that way.By the way, I'm home schooled, and I love having sand on my feet....Show more
Nelly Kikuchi: Actually, what you think you know about the differences between home schooled and public schooled kids is not true. There are not a lot of differences. Both are just kids in school. Just the location of their schools are different. They a! ll like basically the same things. Video games, sports, television, pizza, music, days off from school! And nearly all of them are physically able to like sand on their feet. That is a individual dislike. You can't say what home schoolers are like based on one kid. Maybe he happens to be, as you say, "weird and gross." But, he would be that even in public school. There are probably lots of kids like him in your schools, you just don't know them. "Weird and gross" kids come from all schools!...Show more
