Samatha Nicar: Apollenaire: That's not always true. At my high school, they offered Teacher Assistant positions for elective credit and I was assigned to a special education history class. I know that they didn't have a special education version of every subject or elective that was offered at my school but they definitely had English, History, and Math for more high functioning kids. Also, there was no way the special education student population was over 80%.

Adrian Sherlin: For special education, you'd have a degree in special education. The thing with ! that is that it's generally K-12 or at least 7-12 to work in secondary and you cover whatever subjects are on the student's IEP. I don't know of any special ed teachers who teach a single specific subject, especially not history.
