Where do all these "polls" come from?

Marvella Benward: here's severalhttp://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/pres...

Marcel Then: They said at the beginning of the election debate that you can take part online on ITV's website.....that is if you're referring to those polls.

Daria Verfaillie: First these "polling" companies hire Psychologists to right the questions that will get the answer they are looking for, second the "polling" companies only ask a carefully targeted group to get the answer they are looking for. The best example is Rasmussen, check out their polls at : http://www.rasmussenreports.com/ then look at how they get their poll results.

Georgianna Zollo: Don't listen to James, I actually work with polls. They generate random phone numbers or addresses and call / contact those people. Usually about 1,000 - 3,000 people per poll. With 300 million + people in the country, it's very easy to live your whole life and never get polled.

Lewis Ranft: Are you that incapable! of knowing your news ? Maybe you shouldn`t jump in when you have now idea about what is going on. Not trying to be mean here. I`m just telling you, you seem to be clueless about things that you should be aware of....You`re not just trying to avoid the poll numbers that show Obama is unpopular, are you ?
