Does anyone know what the probablem with the VS system trading card game is?

Arlen Decorte: VS doesn't have invasive marketing behind it. The yugioh cartoon, for instance, isn't about the cards or the creatures on the cards. Is about kids who play the card game. Pokemon isn't a cartoon about pokemon, its about kids who play pokemon.VS by comparison is a game based on comic books, not the other way around. Batman doesn't spend his time in his comic playing VS, he spends it fighting crime.I suppose its a form of displacement. A kid playing VS can't imagine himself as Batman because Batman doesn't play VS. By comparison, a kid who plays pokemon or yugioh can imagine himself as ash or yugi because ash and yugi spend most of their time in the cartoon playing their respective games....Show more
